Julius Caesar Act 3 Study Questions: Due 10/27



   

   
   1)      After Antony gives the famous “Friends, Romans, Countrymen” speech, he continues to talk to the citizens. Explain how he uses Caesar’s “will” to manipulate the masses and turn them against Brutus and Cassius. Use a quote in your response:





    2)     How does Antony use the body of Caesar (remember that it is still lying on stage for everyone) to further manipulate the masses into doing what he wants. Use a quote in your response:





    3)     At the end of Act 3 Scene 2, who has arrived in Rome? And what happened to Brutus and Cassius?


Act 3 Scene 3: “His name’s Cinna too; classic mix-up.”

    1)      Explain what happens in this short scene. What do you think the purpose is of it? Why did Shakespeare incorporate it?
